BREAKING: YKTR Sports Launch Official Application For New NRL Expansion Team – Mudders United

The NRL is set to expand the competition to 17 teams in 2023.

Many believe a second Brisbane based side is favoured to be the fresh new franchise.

However here at YKTR Sports, we would like to formally announce that we have submitted an application to join the race for an Alexandrian based side: Mudders United.

We believe the initial recruitment process is crucial to long term success in the NRL, so it’s something we will not be taking lightly.

Myself and Ice have been diligently working away in the shadows and holding private conversations with some of the biggest names in the game for that very reason.

The criteria in which we select our players will fall under the following requirements.

  • Carry a mudders with pride
  • Actual gun footy player
  • Locker room guy
  • Loves a schooner
  • Doesn’t mind treating himself

We will also have a strict ‘No Dickheads’ policy.

So moving forward we will select our ‘Mudders Monday’ player of the week every round until the end of the season, ahead of our official squad announcement in the first week of the off-season.

Everyone knows that’s when a mudders does his best work.

Congratulations to yesterday’s first squad member Brandon ‘The Not So Shredded Cheese’ Smith. A well deserved selection.

  1. Surely A. Reyno could backflip and is being considered the 7 for team mudders. Low key gets Maccas after every home game. Has KFC or pizza at least twice a week, has never had abs.
    Fits all the requirements:
-Is the pest of the locker room
    – The skipper
    – Mr Clutch himself
    – One of the local greats down @ the Newmarket on the schooeys
    – Treats himself a bit too much every week
